There have been some updates to the rehearsal calendar for the BROTHERS GRIMM SPECTACULATHON! The first trimester is full of release days and holidays, so we need to be a bit creative with our scheduling. The changes are listed below. I understand their are conflicts with other clubs or activities, but please plan on attending whenever possible! The show is right around the corner…
Added Rehearsal: October 25th from 2-4pm
NO REHEARSAL November 5th (Faculty Meeting)
Added Rehearsal: November 7th and 8th from 2-4:30pm
TECH WEEK: We will rehearse after school from 2pm-5:00pm. I know these are long days, so bring a school safe snack (no nuts/peanut butter), and we will be sure to take a break for folks to eat.

Due to a change in the faculty meeting schedule, we will rehearse today until 3pm. Students will meet with Ms. Friswell to review scenes from Act I, and to work on some stage movement exercises.

Thank you to those who auditioned today. There are still slots open tomorrow if you didn’t make it in, or know somebody who needs a spot. We will all meet to rehearse on Wednesday this week. There may not be a cast list, but we can do some improv work and some ensemble building work that will benefit us in the process.
I will have a calendar to hand out Wednesday, along with scripts.

Welcome back to KMS for the 2012-2013 school year. We have another great year of drama classes, and after school drama activities planned. We once again will have a Fall Play for 7th and 8th grade students, and the annual Spring Musical for 6th-8th grade students.
There will be a meeting Thursday, September 6th, for all 7th and 8th grade students interested in auditioning for the Fall PLAY. Auditions will take place the following week, and the performance dates are November 16, 17 and 18.
All cast members who are available after school on Thursday 6/7 should plan to stay for a sing-through of the show in Mr. Griffin’s room. As we saw in rehearsal today, there is quite a bit of work to be done on the songs for the show, and this will provide an additional opportunity to really rehearse the music.
Due to a last minute scheduling conflict with Mr. Lane and Mr. Griffin, the 5th grade musical practice for today has to be cancelled. We will meet on Wednesday as planned. My apologies for the late notice. Announcements are being made to the students so they will be informed shortly.

Welcome to the KMS Theatre site! This site will act as an information portal for the upcoming 5th grade production. This year we will be mounting a KMS favorite, “HONK!” This show is a wonderful adaptation of the Ugly Duckling story, that teaches about tolerance and finding your own way in the world; an especially relevant idea to middle school students!
Please see below for the rehearsal schedule. These dates may be subject to change. In this case the cast will be notified on this site, and we will make every effort to make an announcement in school.
